After delicious meal at the Grove restaurant on 3rd Street – one of several we had there during our stay – we went to a lovely old theatre, Orpheum Theatre which features a vaulted ceiling and a beautiful façade, apparently inspired by a 12th century cathedral. There we saw a really good musical called Company which had previously been on in the West End in London. It was directed by Marianne Elliot and the acting was superb.

North to Scotland
This year we’ve finally made it up to Scotland. So many years we’ve thought of coming but then gone southwards for the weather. Although it’s taken Covid to Point us northwards we’ll be coming again -it’s so beautiful
Pylos
Spent a couple of days in a campsite on Golden Beach a fabulous bay in the Messina area of the Peloponnese (the first finger). Doing some domestic chores – washing clothes, making bread, but then got our bikes off the back of the van an went on a cycle ride to nearby Pylos and I didn’t have to push my bike even once up several hills and hairpins!
And back in the van
A bit of domesticity and now back into Venice for some more art
Lake Garda
On the way to Venice decided to stay overnight at Lake Garda to stretch our legs. Very beautiful
